POSITIONS:   Administrative Intern - Elementary K-5

Overview:

 

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Elementary Summer School Principal to lead our summer education program. The Elementary Summer School Principal will oversee the day-to-day operations, manage staff, support lesson planning,, and ensure a safe and enriching environment for elementary students during the summer months. This is a temporary position lasting for the duration of the summer program.

 

Job Summary:

The administrative performs various leadership responsibilities which are attendant to successful administration of the school unit.  The specific duties, which are assigned by the Principal and the decision-making authority related to such assignments, are established in the working relationship between the Principal and Administrative Intern. The Administrative Intern, in cooperation with any site administrator may be assigned full responsibility for all site employees in the absence of the Principal from the site.

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

Essential and Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Responsibilities:

    1. Leadership: Provide strong leadership to staff, students, and families to ensure a positive and productive summer school experience.
    2. Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teachers, aides, and other summer school staff. 
    3. Collaborate with teachers to develop engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards and the needs of students.
    4. Instructional Supervision: Observe classrooms regularly to provide feedback to teachers and ensure high-quality instruction. Offer support and resources to help teachers meet the diverse needs of students.
    5. Student Support: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. Address any behavioral or academic concerns promptly and work closely with teachers, students, and families to develop and implement appropriate interventions.
    6. Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and families to keep them informed about their child's progress and the summer school program. Foster positive relationships with the community and seek opportunities for collaboration and involvement.
    7. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff by enforcing school policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to summer school programs.

SALARY:    $7,992.00
